EcoVadis is one of the world’s leading sustainability assessment platforms, helping organizations evaluate and improve their environmental, social, ethical, and supply chain performance. At Chef Works, EcoVadis provides a structured framework that helps guide continuous improvement across our operations and partnerships. Through the assessment process, we are able to better measure progress, identify opportunities for improvement, strengthen transparency, and align our sustainability efforts with globally recognized standards. EcoVadis also helps reinforce accountability throughout our supply chain while supporting long term goals related to responsible sourcing, environmental impact reduction, and corporate governance.
UN Global Compact
The United Nations Global Compact is the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative, encouraging businesses to align their strategies and operations with principles focused on human rights, labor, environmental responsibility, and anti-corruption. As a participant, Chef Works uses the UN Global Compact framework to help guide our long term sustainability journey and strengthen accountability across our business practices. The initiative helps us connect our actions to globally recognized sustainability goals while encouraging continuous improvement, transparency, and responsible growth. Participation also reinforces our commitment to creating positive impact through ethical operations, environmental stewardship, and collaboration with partners who share similar values.
Sedex
Sedex is one of the world’s leading ethical trade and supply chain transparency platforms, helping businesses strengthen responsible sourcing practices across global operations. Chef Works uses Sedex to support visibility, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout our supply chain. Through Sedex, we are able to manage supplier information, review third party audit data, monitor ethical and environmental practices, and help ensure alignment with internationally recognized standards related to labor, health and safety, environmental management, and business ethics. The platform also helps strengthen collaboration with suppliers while supporting responsible decision making, transparency, and long term sustainability goals across our global network.
Flexport
Flexport plays an important role in supporting Chef Works’ sustainability efforts through logistics management, emissions visibility, and lower carbon transportation solutions. By partnering with a single global logistics provider, Chef Works is able to streamline freight operations while improving the consistency and accuracy of sustainability reporting. Centralized logistics data helps simplify the collection of transportation emissions information across ocean, air, trucking, and warehousing activities, allowing for more efficient tracking and analysis of Scope 3 emissions.
Through Flexport’s biofuel insetting program, Chef Works helps reduce ocean freight emissions by supporting the use of lower carbon marine biofuels within the shipping network. Rather than purchasing traditional carbon offsets, biofuel insetting directly contributes to reducing emissions within the actual transportation supply chain. This approach supports measurable carbon reductions while helping accelerate the transition toward cleaner freight solutions across the logistics industry.
The partnership also provides increased operational visibility, better reporting capabilities, and data driven insights that help Chef Works make more informed sustainability decisions over time.
